Has anyone else noticed an annoying little bug in the version of Kword that comes with 10.1? I print my A4 letterhead ranged, (lined up on), the right hand side of the paper, (it means that when the letter is filed in a ring binder the letter head is on the outside edge and thus more easily visible). The problem is that the last letter on each line is cut in half, this does not happen in the body of the letter, just with the heading. I've never had a bug which needed reporting to date so I'm asking if anyone else has seen it before I report it. (I've also got a spare set of 10.1 which has the same problem).

This sounds as though the font metrics in Kword are wrong somewhere, so when it's working out the starting position of right-justified text it thinks it will be shorter than it really is.
I'm not familiar with Slackware nor Kword, so can't offer detailed diagnostics. However, unless someone else comes up with a proper solution, can I suggest trying the following work-rounds:
1. The problem might be specific to the particular font you are using. You could try changing fonts for the letterhead, and see whether this helps.
2. You could try padding each line of the letterhead on the right with a non-printing character. Best for this would be a fixed width space or two but perhaps the standard space character for that font would work OK.
If your letterhead is pre-cooked (i.e. already set up), then fiddly fixes like this only need setting up once and for all.
Hoping this help, and good luck!
Cheers, Ted.
