At a guess, print to a file (should be a .ps file) and then run ps2pdf on it. Works in most cases.
If you're sufficiently evil, you can work out how to set up a printer that generates pdf files. Eh, Brett?

Probably the easiest way to do it is as follows...
* Print the kword document to a postscript file * use ps2pdf on the printed document
ps2pdf is part of the ghostscript set of tools.
