Don't believe them! Energis Squared techs have said (in freeserve.help.anytime) that the 1616 number will be switched on until BT have cured *all* the 0808 exchange problems. If it works for you, then you have Internet access.

That Freeserve tech support operation is a joke. There appears to be some sort of information flow blockage between Energis Squared (who provide the services) and Freeserve's customer services (who are supposed to help people use the service).
