I'd be interested if it was on another date, and more interested still if it was in Norwich.
Really I just want someone to tell me what to do, rather than explain the issues. I'm happy to lobby my MEP but I don't know what I'm supposed to suggest that he does at the moment.
Just send this: <What is the XXXXX party's policy on Software patents within europe?> to the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, BNP, Greens, English Democrats and the Indepedents. It serves to make them think, and raises the matter as an issue in this election. You can then follow it up with whatever Mark has later

Also, it seems to me that one of the main issues here is that decisions that were taken by the elected MEPs were overturned by the unelected Council of Ministers. I would ask the current and prospective MEPs what they think of that - and express surprise, concern etc, as a voter.

Certainly what it sounded like to me from what RMS said the other night. I've written an article on it on www.open4.org and just pointed people to the www.ffii.org site for more info as I thought I'd leave it up to the experts to explain in detail...
From the list here: http://www.ffii.org.uk/analysis_uk.html it looks as
if we have a long way to go to change people's minds on this.
