Hi, I installed Linux to my hard disk from a Knoppix 3.2 CD-ROM (I don't think it's the latest release as there have been a few since then) and I have recently started using Fluxbox which I have found very buggy. I have experienced a series of intermittent faults: - When pressing alt+tab to swap between windows every so often instead of swapping windows I just get logged out instead! - Occasionally when I move cursor focus to a text field, say the URL bar in mozilla, when I start typing nothing happens and I have to swap to another window and then swap back to get it to work. - Whenever I try and resize a mozilla window it goes CRAZY and it flies all over the screen! Has anyone else experienced these bugs? I know that J has mentioned the resizing mozilla issue to me. Are these bugs only present within my release of Knoppix? Have they been fixed in a more up to date Knoppix 3.2? (I can't see mention of them in the fixed bugs on knoppix.net). I've also had problems with a USB hard disk that I think may be something to do with a problem in the kernel and the latest release of knoppix 3.2 comes with a newer kernel so that may have been fixed. It may be worth upgrading, or I may just stop messing around with knoppix and try and install debian from a debian disc :) which I've only been able to do successfully once! That I've had happen in nearly every windowmangler ever, but normally it is only netscape/moz that I have the problem with

Depends on how you resize moz, this... if you use the moz resize box, things break, badly... If you use the fluxbox resize, it usually works.

Correct, it doesn't, by default that's bound to go to desktop 4. Mod4 x appears to be the default binding... god knows what mod4 is by default though. Cheers, Brett.

When I plugged in most USB devices they were detected fine, they don't DO much yet but they are detected. When I plugged in my USB hard disk X froze up and I had to hit the reset button. Actually, I've upgraded my kernel since then to try and get my TV card to work and now "USB View" Just shows up two "hubs" and seems oblivious to me plugging ANYTHING in! Maybe *when* I install debian properly I'll try and get USB to work

Correct, it doesn't, by default that's bound to go to desktop 4.

I had that stupid problem which was very annoying. I'm sure you are using the autoraise feature? Sometimes that doesn't work. Ah well, can't be perfect. -- Craig
