Anthony, have you been there? Or just heard?
I went home via the Reindeer on Friday (5/9). The lights were on, but the door was shut and there was a crude notice saying something like closed until further notice.
I'll try and have another look tonight. And then post an announcement a.s.a.p. regarding Thursday's meeting.
We met at the Alexandra Tavern last month. It was nice, but may be a bit out of the way. City centre pubs are probably better.

Mentioned in the Champion that my refill-point for Black Dog had closed, and was told that it was now open.
I was going to suggest the Wild Man in Bedford Street might be a good place to meet instead, but - good though the beer is in the Wild Man, I prefer Black Dog...
...when I can get home from Norwich, that is. Last bus out leaves around 5.30...

Anywhere's easy for me to get *TO*, but getting home afterwards is the promble. (I don't fancy a 14 mile walk at that end of the day. Now 14 miles to *GET* to a watering-hole is a different matter!)

That's bad or difficult for parking afaict. The Reindeer was pretty good in that respect at least if not so good for people who want to catch a bus or a train.

Where is home? Some people (shock! horror!) use cars to get to/from the Thursday night meetings. You might be able to share a lift.

Bunwell - but I don't think anyone actually passes that way. (B1113)
It'll all be a bit different when I get the (motor)bike on the road. Spotted the drawback?

Blimey, that is out in the dark. I suppose at least the night sky looks pretty?

Coo, yes! Not just Bunwell, but Bunwell Bottom, forsooth.
Many years ago when I had a smallholding between Starston and Hardwick I had an eleven-yar-old staying for part of the summer, and on one particularky dark and clear night after putting the goats to bed he saw the night sky and - well, as the Bible puts it - marvelled.
"We don't get stars in Harold Wood!"
I had to explain about light pollution, etc. As I pointed out the constellations (the ones I knew, anyway) we saw several meteors.
Good night all round.
