I've been browsing web articles on writing apps for GNU/Linux and a couple have recommended the above as a good place to
start. Has
anybody else on the list read it? and, if so, what's your opinion of it?
Unfortunately not.
Any alternative recommendations?
I have been using O'Reillys Safari http://safari.oreilly.com for books, both to read online and consider before purchasing dead tree versions. It works out at about 10 quid a month for access to a ten "point" bookshelf (about ten books) and you get a 2 week free trial at the moment. It may be a way to consider which dead tree books you want to try.
Safari looks interesting, thanks for the tip.
