+1 from here. I've some specific technical suggestions to make to you off-list so that anyone can submit edits to the site in a secure manner, but is it possible to have (as a minimum) web redirectors and email aliases for group members?

Oh yes - very easy to do. May even a web mail service for anglian.lug.org.uk where members can set up forwarding to whatever email account they like, etc.
