The FreeDos Dell option is probably a last resort - I'm not sure I want to buy from a company that refuses to supply AMD based machines - though I have sent them an e-mail asking if they could! And at my last company their so called service was dire! ___________________________________________________________ALL-NEW Yahoo! Dell always have (and probably always will be) an Intel only vendor. I am betting that 80% of their customers don't care. AMD still has some (unexplained) resistance in large enterprises. Did you really expect them to start offering AMD because you asked them to ? Anyway to be honest the P4M chip is a good'un so much so I would love the opportunity to be able to build it into small desktop machines. My new P4M 1.5 Ghz laptop feels a lot faster than my old AMD Mobile 2000.

This is fair enough, I have heard this quite frequently about Dell, recently I have also been less than completely impressed with some of their build quality as well (although that was more in reference to their desktop's) Their laptops seem quite reasonable however.
