Haven`t been keeping-up with all the postings to alug, but I was wondering if anyone has mentioned that `Maximum Linux` has been taken out of publication.
Please will people sign the petition at : http://www.petitiononline.com/maxlinux/petition.html

I would of thought this is probably a commercial decision, judging by how few computer magazines there were on the shelf of my local newsagents the other day it must be a really tough business. In my personal opinion I don't really find print magazines all that helpful, I used to buy them for coverdisks but now they seem are out of date before the magazines come out, and I generally find all the articles I want online which are also up to date, ditto the news articles.

Based on recent discussions on this list about .Net, I though I would share an article on use.perl.org:
http://use.perl.org/journal.pl?op=display&uid=1087 (Look for the Monday 16th July 2001 postings, especially Part 1)
It offers an explaination of .Net (and the setup of web services) and comparisions with technologies available in Perl.
