Like some others, I find it a bit difficult to get to meetings a weekends at the moment, but there's nothing to stop those of us who do live in a local area getting together anytime to have a pint and talk shop. Is there any interest in an evening meet in or around the Norwich area sometime for us locals? Any suggestions for a venue?

In principle, yes definitely - it would all depend on when and what else was going on at the time. Don't know the local pubs too well so not much help suggesting that sort of venue.

Yes, I'd probably even travel across if it's at a reasonable time. Hell, I travel 40 miles one way for Peterborough LUG (next meeting: Thursday; topic: firewalls) on an evening, so why not 50 the other? ;-)
I don't know if any of the pubs have free meeting rooms now. Hogshead used to, I think. I definitely used some pub in Magdalen St many years ago, but you needed at least 20 for the room to remain closed to the public. Once again, maybe the UEA people know about the pubs ;-)
