Hi! I just subscribed to the list here.....

Basically I'm a bit of a Linux newbie, running a P133 at home that I built from bits that have been scrounged from various sources or rescued from a skip (not exactly flush with cash you see). I've been runnning Corel 1.1 for a while but haven't played with it much as I'm really only using the box for playing MP3's and learning perl.

Anyway, I'm hoping to pick up some tips from the more advanced local penguin worshipers on the list. :-)
