This should be simple and usually, if I want to remove a splodge or mark from a photo I'd use Resynthesise. In this case I want to hide/remove a bit of flower but I've tried Resynthesise and cloning and neither really work. The first seems to use the flower next to it to copy its pixels rather than the soil/foliage and the second makes it look rather too obvious where 'surgery' has occurred. Anyone have an answer? Inkscape is not an answer! (In case you're tempted.)

Missed this and found it while doing some tidying-up.
Sorry to swear, but Paintshop Pro or Photoshop are the progs I'd use.
