Nice to see someone documented it. Anyone doing this?

I'm not, but I might *start* :)
I'm a bit unclear as to how it can tell the difference between me calling the house from my mobile to talk to people and me calling the house to wake up the machine, but hey. I'm not sure how I could avoid people in the house picking up the phone and saying "hello!" when I rang, either, but that's not a software problem. :-)
I need a separate modem line; anyone have any good ways of justifying the need for this? ;)
Actually, if you can use this, then your modem supports CLID, which means that you can also use jwz's snazzy phone ringer scripts to make your machine the phone. I'd do this if I could think of some way to make it work all over the house. It would tie in quite nicely with my daft idea of writing a basic vioce recognition and speaker verification suite in Python, when I get an exceptionally round tuit...
