PCAnswers CD solution?

I don't think I've seen this news posted yet: "Anyway - all the CDs are being replaced free of charge to the readers, with a few extra goodies on there to make up for the hassle. I was up in Bath sorting this wee mess out yesterday, and the new CDs are going to be ready to go by the end of next week." Is that a good solution? Corel Linux Deluxe not for Europe

Corel has struct a licencing problem with 3rd-party non-GPLed software included in it's forthcoming Deluxe Linux distribution and as such it cannot be distributed "over the pond". This should make for an interesting discussion over freedom/licencing. Folks, Does anyone know of a good FAQ for putting a SCSI CDRW into an otherwise IDE Linux box? Any recommendations for software, and other techniques? Debian updates

Morning all, I have just installed Debian 2.1 on my two machines at home after using Suse for a while and have now discovered the X servers are a little old and don't support my gfx card. I was wondering does anyone have some suitable updates on CD? I was wondering if it would be a good idea to go up to Potato? WinLinux beta?

Has anybody actually tried this yet? I've got a copy of it on the PC Format DVD which I'm happy to bring along to the next meeting if anybody's interested. I see that the latest Definite Linux is now available to download from: ftp://212.1.130.10/pub/Definite/7.0/ Details at: http://www.definitelinux.com/ Far too big a download for my modem connection. I'd really like to try this as it's a UK specific distro based on Red Hat (which I use). Any of you Uni chaps like to do me a favour and grab me an ISO on your fast connection before the next meeting? Talking of the next meeting has a date been decided yet?
