3rd Monday Monthly Ipswich Social Meeting : McGintys, Northgate Street

The monthly "Third Monday" ALUG Ipswich Social Meeting is back next week (Monday 18th August) at 20:00, with a new venue: P J McGinty & Sons 15 Northgate Street Ipswich Suffolk IP1 3BY Tel: 01473 251 515 Map/Directions URI: http://maps.google.co.uk/?q=IP1+3BY WWW: http://pjmcginty.moonfruit.com/ McGintys pub is in the centre of Ipswich, not far from our old haunt - The Milestone. It's directly opposite the town's central library and has a reputation for good Irish beer. All are welcome, novices and experienced users. 2nd Thurs Pub Meet 14th Aug

Dear ALUG, We will have our 2nd Thursday pub meeting on * Thursday 14th August * The Reindeer is still closed. We tried Micawber's Tavern last month and it was nice. Some people, though, are a bit concerned about the difficulty of parking there. This month we will try The Alexandra Tavern (16 Stafford Street, NR2 3BB, 01603 627772, http://www.alexandratavern.co.uk/). It's a very nice pub with good beer and food. It may be possible to park in West Pottergate or even in Douro Place where ALUGgers usually park for The Reindeer. On the top of our agenda this month will be possible venues. Bring your Norwich A to Zs (or something for browsing OpenStreetMap data) and past pub experience with you! I'll be there around 20:00. We look forward to seeing you there!
