Subject: [uklugs] Linux Public Lecture in Swansea

Hi
I work in the Dept of Computer Science at University of Wales Swansea. On 5
March 2002 we're hosting a public lecture, sponsored by BT Ignite, where
Alan Cox of Red Hat will be presenting a talk entitled "Doing things
differently - Linux past, present and future". It will be a view of the
history of the Linux operating system, and the free software movement behind
it. An assesment of where Linux is now, and a look into the future needs and
challenges of the operating system.
As a 'public' lecture we'd like to advertise this to as wide a group as
possible and I was wondering if we could use your distribution lists? I saw
from your website that there are 4 contacts within Wales that I guess I
could forward the info to, but I'd be grateful for your advice as to the
best way to get this info out to any interested parties.
Look forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
Margaret Day
