I have a Matrox Millenium G400 in my machine which is running Debian
'Testing' which means XFree 4.1.0 I believe.
I notice that in the kernel configuration there is an AGP support
option which is not enabled. If I enable this a number of other
options become selectable none of which match my mainboard's chipset
AMD 760MP. Further down the DRI option if enabled (which it currently
isn't) then a Matrox G200/G400/G450 option becomes available.
Do I need any of this? That is to say would it make normal graphics
use any faster? I don't play games or use any particularly graphics
intensive software.
Any advice *may* make me less confused - but then again ...
