Help with Mulinux, please

Hello, I first want to thank those members of alug who are already trying to help me with my problems with Mulinux. I was interested to find that markj@cloa has had the same kind of problem that I am having. However, I think that the cause is something that I do not understand and am doing wrong. I do not think that the cause is the fact that the distribution is not being updated as he suggests. Going to the Mulinux homesite and looking at /mulinux/mu/current one finds that there have been eight versions of the kernel this year, 2001, from mulinux-11r6 last modified 18 Jan 2001 to mulinux-12r0 on 14 Jun 2001. Similarly, of the eleven addons,the five earliest were last modified on 23 Dec 2000, and the three latest on 14 Jun 2001. I suspect that some of those writing about Linux, especially if English is not their native language, for DOS users do not appreciate the "ignorance" of the latter on things Linux. Some writers to the Mulinux homesite have asked how one can make a 1.722 Mb floppy. The answer, as I remember, was not satisfactory. Best wishes, Norman Rule

More C coding Woes

I have some code which when compiled gives this error In file included from file1.c:4, from file2.c:6: llist.h:14: redefinition of `Node_ptr' llist.h:14: `Node_ptr' previously declared here llist.h:17: redefinition of `struct Node` Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong. Many thanks for that. gcc now installed, all those devel tools that were kind of stuck (it was a bit like a dose of syrup of figs actually). php then successfully unpackaged, as did rpm....it was great! Of course, being me, nthing works still, but I thought Adam was being a bit optimistic on IRC last night telling me it would. I need to read up more on apache now, thanks for the pointers all. Re. the comments on the use of php...I was planning on using it for small intranet type reports that, eg, suck info out of a database into an html file, then learn java for more fully blown web stuff.
