Further to my note of the otehr day.
If I use my 'spare' host IP that BT gave me, the oepration of the net is
distinctly flaky. However, I find that I can use my Demon IP (158.152.9.237)
over the ADSL network. It gets masqueraded in the normal way, but appears to be
perfectly reliable.
My main m/c now has three IPs. One for demon, one for ADSL and one for the
internal network. I have also set up masquerading from the rest of my local
net, but I have not checked my filter rules all that thoroughly yet. Also,
my Win 3.1 machine (they do still exist) does not seem to fetch web pages ;-(
