Thanks for that, Adam. I picked up a copy of tvtime 0.9.12 and
installed it and I get pictures. Unfortunately, I get vertically
compressed images with a large green patch underneath. I've read the
documentation over and over and I've tried experimenting with all sorts
of settings, to no avail. Strangely, though, the captured images are the
correct aspect ratio, but still with a large area of green under.
Presumably it works better than that with your telly pictures?

From what I can tell, the magnification (x10, x60, x200) is all done
optically. For the price, it seems not too bad. I found an addition prog
'cpia-control' (uses Python) which is useful for setting the camera's
parameters and also for controlling the object lamps.
