I read some time ago in a Linux Mag article that it was possible to
filter certain packages out in apt-get upgrade, specifically an upgrade
to the kernel.
I'm looking to do just that but as usual, I can't find the magazine or
any reference on the 'net.
So, does anyone here have any experience of filtering out certain
packages, for example: kernel*, apache* etc.. So that upgrades to the
kernel and apache are not applied, while all other upgrades are. I'm
presuming its some configuration option somewhere in /etc/apt...
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Regards, Nick
