I have just re-joined the list after retiring from work - whoopeee!! I am now well into North Norfolk - at Overstrand near Cromer so the ALUG meetings will definitely be on my agenda now as Norwich is only half an hour away. I'll check the archives to see what has been happening since Xmas. See you all soon. Ian

MJR in a previous message spoke of a page of links to members home pages. I think it would be better if we had a page with somewhat more. How about a page with: name irc nick location occupation preferred distro hardware mug shot other interests. Thoughts, flames etc. Cheers, BJ

Kudos to Jo and Paul for getting this to me. Anyone able to fill in the first bit? Topics discussed include: security, the last meeting, my absence and my photo :P For what it's worth, the wvdial problem is from when they have a terminal server backdoor login on their main dialup line because it's so unstable, but wvdial looks at that and thinks "oh, it's a terminal-style login". I've seen it before on another ISP.
