Sounds brilliant to me - Sun 21st April, 2-6? We ought to check most
people can make that so you have a nice roomful of geek-types this time.
I can bring all my computers and everyone can laugh at my fetchmail config
files. Last night I decided that I needed to tell fetchmail that it had
to use procmail to deliver mail locally, and I then wrote what I considered
to be a basic procmail file. I then expectantly fetched my mail, and sat
back in joy and delight as the mail plopped into the right boxes. Two
minutes later, after wondering why the computer was still scrunching , I
did a ps aux, and realised exim was undergoing a new process every second
or so, then on opening a groaning heaving mutt I realised I had unwittingly
set up a mail loop and my mail was replicating and sending itself back to
me, so i now have four copies of every message in my mailbox, great. About
4,000 mails.
Back to the drawing board on that one, eh!
(Mark is now going to post a message asking why on earth I was tryng to use
procmail in the first place....;-) )
