Netscape 4.77 cache question

Am I the only one for whom the Netscape V4.77 (Linux) cache doesn't seem to work? I have disk cache set to 20Mb, RAM cache set to whatever it came with, and the correct subdirectory in the home directory but it doesn't work as expected. I assume that, when I visit a site, the page that I look at is stored in the cache. When I click on the entry in the hotlist sometime later after having hung up the modem line, I should get the page back because it's been found in the cache. But it doesn't. I just get the error box with the unreachable host message. Maybe I've completely mis-understood how it's meant to work. But this is the way my little old DOS graphical browser works. Thanks for any ideas! Gerald.

Looked at Wiki-wiki. Looks like complete anarchy. I like it. ;-) Could the same be done with php? Would it require too much setting up? Could we use some kind of php Nuke/postnuke solution? (I might be missing something here) Are these valid alternatives? It really depends on what we want out of it, surely? It doesn't seem to clear to me what we actually want from the site. We *should* consider some restriction IMHO, as there are plenty more scriptkiddies and other destructive vermin than there are responsible people...
