"There is currently a bid in to the competition being run by the East of England Development Agency. The initial thoughts for the proposed connection are that it would run from Long Stratton up to Little Melton taking in many villages along the way- including Flordon, Ashwellthorpe, Fundenhall, Wreningham, Mulbarton, Newton Flotman, Tasburgh, East Carleton and Hethersett."

Dereham goes\ live at the end of this month and several other exchanges are due to be activated later. So something is happening, slowly. But what a p*ss-poor way to be doing things. So much for the 'benefits' of privatisation, 'competition' and the 'market place'. State-provided infrastructure services and centralised co-ordination are not alwys such a bad thing.
