Anyway does anyone know of any good books on the gimp? I have been toying with the idea of getting 'grokking the gimp' but I am unsure of which books on the gimp are any good and don't want to waste precious money. Adam
I have the Coriolis Press Gimp black book, offical handbook one. It's pretty good, it goes into detail about each function and filter and gives examples of the uses of each one.
Personally I don't like Michael J Hammels' style of writing, so I tend to avoid his Gimp books. I think he talks down to the user and it never seems to be more than a list of what button does what, so proceed with caution on his stuff.
However if you want more of a user guide for tutorials, then I'm not sure what to suggest...
