Can any one suggest a real use for a couple of Vax computers and a couple of Sun IPC computers which all live on a network together?
List given so far:
1)Heating 2)Doorstops 3)combine with peices of wood to make sehelves 4)Compile Farm
- Blender runs on pretty much anything- use 'em for a render farm!
Urrmm, I don't think your going to find a copy of Blender for VMS! also the Sun IPCs are all pretty slow!
6) run distributed net clients on them http://www.distributed.net (this is a good idea anyway, before you make them do anything else) 7) increase your electric bill a huge amount ;-) 8) learn VMS and apply for all the VMS jobs on jobserve... 9) the Sun IPCs should work ok as small webservers or DNS or something on a small lan. 10) Start a computer museum 11) errm run out of ideas, give on of the Vaxen to me so I can learn VMS and apply for all of the jobs on Jobserve?
