Following on from my email earlier. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the specification for 19 inch racks. A search on google renders lots of adverts for ATA flight cases. Can any one suggest a real use for a couple of Vax computers and a couple of Sun IPC computers which all live on a network together? Hardware

I feel the need for some new hardware. I am thinking my el cheapo 8.4GB HDD could do with replacing, so I am thinking of a new Seagate HDD. Now, how much performance benifit will I get from a 7200rpm drive over a 5400RPM drive? Will I need to cool it more? Also does anyone know what 5.1 channel sound cards are supported by linux? Aghhh - ruddy UEA Alumini mail!

Has anybody else here receiving a fair few copies of the UEA Alumini 2001 application form? I've had to put a permanent block on the buggers until they can sort out their mailing list. So far I appear to have received at least 10 copies of the same message sent at different times of the day. I'm still continuing to receive them! Regards, Martyn

Following adams suggestion of watching "The secret History of hacking" I was intreagued enough to watch, I was amazed that the program was actually quite good, it didn't just cover the basic Haxor prats but covered alot of stuff I didn't know like the Home brew computing club etc...
