<slef> Does anyone know if a 133FSB pentium III can be used in a 100FSB=20 <slef> slot 1 connector? Presumably there is a performance hit but=20 <slef> otherwise is there any problem? <pray> yeah afaik its fine <winjer> Slot-1 supports both the coppermine 133FSB and Pentium III 100FSB. * winjer quotes <winjer> google++ Normal motherboard caveats apply. Hi Phil, I have some experience using Leaflet (Open Street Map) to create Markers, as well as Range of content with shapes like Ellipse, or irregular shapes. Forgive me if I am completely missing the point of you're email. However, it sounds like you need some kind of 'ping' - which is called every so often (say every minute) which sends data - such as your current location. When you (or anyone) brings up the map on you're website, that data that has been sent overtime will be read on the webpage, generating markers onto the map (or whatever variation) which can be filterd by the hour, day or longer. I am not aware of a plugin that goes into such detail, but the leaflet js library is likely to have some 'journey-like plugin' but for storing the data and using the data behind-the-scenes, I do not know. However, something like this is possible. Whether I am the best person for the job -- I honestly do not know. Be interesting in others suggestions are. I do not post on ALUG often so I am going to reply to social(a)list.alug.org.uk. Hi, I'm Ian. I've just braved the new world (for me) of Linux (Ubuntu), having been a long-time user both personally and professionally of Windows. Kind of scary and exciting to find myself a complete newbie with an OS again. But Microsoft's push updates and the critical role that my laptop has for me means I need to make the change or risk periods with no computer. I understand that you meet every 2nd Thursday in the Coach & Horses pub - and am assuming that means this Thursday (13th) at 8pm? Hi, I'm having a serious problem with my fedora system. It won't read any removable media, dvds, cds, memory cards, memory sticks etc. I've had a look at a few things online and tried a few things but it looks like I have to learn quite a lot about linux programming if I want to fix it. It seems like a whole section of my system has malfunctioned. All I really want is for it to read a boot disc so I can update my system, then presumably the reading removable media problem will right itself. I'm currently on Fedora 15, and didn't update it for quite a while, so I'm rather behind with it in linux terms. I'm not sure why it stopped reading removable media, this happened in April. I have a memory card and memory stick it read and wrote to perfectly well until one day when I transferred videos from my HD camera on a memory card. For some reason this act seemed to cause some problems, and I initially thought it was the memory card, because it seemed to cause problems with my camera when I put it back in. I took it to a computer shop, but when the man there tried it on his computer it worked fine, he couldn't find anything wrong with it, and it has worked fine in the camera ever since, I just can't transfer anything from it to my computer. It was fiddled with a while back by a man who knew linux so it would read the dvds I wanted to watch- Fedora is designed not to read copyrighted media. It hasn't written anything to disc since, but that didn't bother me because it's not what I usually use to transfer files anyway. I would take it to a shop but I don't have the money to pay to just have it looked at, and I don't know how long it would take anyway so can't be sure how much it would cost overall. If there is any way of updating my system without using removable media that might help, but I can't find anything. I have a boot disc for Fedora 22, (my brother downloaded it on his computer), but it doesn't work because the computer will not read it, it just says there is no filename. I can't work out how to just create a mount point or whatever for the boot disc. I've looked into it but it seems like I have to learn quite a lot just to convince my computer to read the boot disc. Hope you can help, Martha
