Dunno what the drying part is.

I think that's when you leave it in your inbox for ages while you do something else, then you have the ironing- which is constructing your reply in a neat, precise, concise manner. (then comes the sendmail bit)

You may have guessed from my posts- I'm not very good at ironing! ;-)
