You can try uk.comp.sys.palmtops or comp.sys.handhelds.palm (I think), but you might be a lone voice in the wilderness. If that's the case, I guess you've got to put things back one at a time until you find whatever's doing it.

First things to avoid installing are preferences extensions, hacks and anything which does anything major at boot. Unfortunately, all apps are allowed to do stuff at boot, so there's your next problem... :-/
